Nice car. Did someone add the 406 or the C6? The 406 motors were not available with an automatic transmission.........

thanks, it was restored in the 80s and the paint reflects it.

yea kind of, just going to get the mechanical part of it checked out and working good and drive it the way it looks for awhile and enjoy it. i found out tonight upon working on it that it has adjustable rockers i believe and it has double coiled valve springs. one rocker is a little loose, not sure how to adjust them yet. the worst part is rebuilding all of the power steering parts on it.

    Nice Galaxie

My two older brothers each had one,
One was a 500XL 427 4spd convertible, He always said the
bumper teets were rare and hard to find for 63 1/2.
My other brother had a 390 hardtop, both were cool cars
but screaming along with the speedo barried in a ragtop is something I'll never forget.

This is an old pencil sketch from about 25 years back:

I just noticed that I forgot to draw a door handle in on the north facing version:confused:
or it could be that I never finished it

A few pictures of it when I got it. The chain steering wheel I took off already. Hopefully soon I will have it back on the ground and be sitting nice and low.

Well I'm making some progress. Got the new master cylinder put on and brakes bleed. New wheel cylinders, new hardware and front bearings, new brake hoses. Rebuilt the steering control valve, new steering lines, new carb on and air cleaner modified for the electric choke. Still waiting on finding alternator brackets. Dropped the tank so I could pop a dent out and decided to pull the sending unit to check it and the sock is black And there looks like a leaf in the tank. May get a new sending unit if I can get the money. About ready to trim the carpet and work on getting the battery mounted. Still have a ways to go. It has just been sitting for so long.
