I'm looking for a new one for my 51 Chevy and can't see to find one. I've tried to go have mine fixed but no one wants to touch a round heater core. I don't mind buying a used one but its just a matter of time till it leaks.

    So any sugestions....?

I need to replace the core in MAMA's 59 as well.

There has to be some late model thing out there that people are using.

    So BTTT.

Nope it dosen't look like that. The radiator shops around here all laughed at me. As for bundleing up thats not the problem I need the defroster, I'm getting tired of wiping the windshield every 5 seconds.

Hey Rashy, plenty of space to splice in a core out of something else in the 59. The problem is you're going to lose the heater control valve which is integrated on the inlet side of the core. You might have luck with mounting a jeep control valve on the firewall just off the core inlet. Doug and I opened boxes until we found a core of similar proportions to the stock, it was a little narrow so I modified the air exit with mild galv steel.
