Hello all.... I just came across this board the other day, in a link from another board I am on...so I'm hoping this will turn into another new "comunity" to hang out with and talk shop. Here's some photos of some of my current rides...they may not be all traditional Hot Rods..but they are in spirit of what motivates them...I'm the kind of person who would rather do an ok job myself, than pay $$$ to have someone else do a great job for me...plus the more I do the more I learn..the better my work gets! Here is my 91 Olds Custom Cruiser wagon...all the work I did myself..the air ride suspension (all built and installed by me)..the engine 355 SBC (ok the balancing and machine work was done by a shop) the custom hood is all metal and I did all the welding and finish work (stock hood with 76 Firebird forumla scoops), custom bumper with molded in fog light openins (the openings came from a Bonnevile SSEI bumper). I also just painted it last weekend in my driveway...1 day before heading down to Daytona Beach for the Turkey (Rod) Run. My other projects are my 68-70-71 C10 Pickup, and my 1937 Pontiac 4D Touring Sedan.
lots of members don't even stop in and say hello... It's more of a place to read about ya, not necessarily to reply.
you got the right idea. better to mess up and learn, then to pay someone else and only learn they charge alot.i dig the wagon and look forword to more pics of your work.oh yeah welcome to the hamb.
Well Florida Guy I have been at this game since the 50's (early 50's) and I want you to know I could really dig the wagon you have pictured..have seen this sport go from living in a boneyard to not being allowed in one !! Do it yourself - you will apreciate it more..
welcome to the HAMB.most of the time you would get slammed for the late model cars.don't tell no one but I like the wagon too.cool ride.
