Welcome from South Korea! .......I love Newports, but I wouldnt be posting to much about it since it is not right for this message board. The HAMB has a strict 65 and older rule. But feel free to browse around lots of good info on here.;)

Very clean Chrysler...and welcome from Aurora...but like others have said, there is a '64 and earlier cut-off around here...word of caution: if you post anything about your car, do not reference it as a '68...and pictures of it on the main forum will prolly get deleted.... But stick around and enjoy the forum...

What a good way to win friends and influence (HAMBers)...calling every HAMBer on this forum "ass-hats"...

IF you want to stick around, participate, be friendly and NOT call everyone names, do so...but by you showing up here, that means you've read the "rules," you did read them, right...??? WE didn't make the rules, the owner did and he's around here a lot...so go ahead, be a smart ass, ignore the rules and see how far it gets you...

It's not like that at all and I didnt call every memeber a name, just the people like yourself that need to go out of their way to discourage people from enjoying the classic car scene. Funny the reactions caused by the truth. Ease up a bit. We're all in the same game here. There's beyond 1000's of memebers here and I guess it's expected to have hate towards late 60's cars. Hopefully the people that do sound off about the year and makes of cars on this forum, actually have a car to call their own.

NO ONE here has discouraged you, or anyone else from joining the classic car scene...Post all you want here, just be friendly and quit with the name-calling.

If you call name-calling the "truth," then you're in the wrong place...and yes, we are in the same game...and there's over 100,000 members here...

And what makes you think there's hatred toward 60's cars here...??? The cut-off date is '64...and last I looked, anything from 1960 to 1964 was/is a '60's car...yours just happens to be "too new" to fit into this forum.

Do not assume that those that do sound off don't have a car, or cars, of their own...perhaps you should peruse the forum a bit and open your eyes before you assume that everyone that posts here about the rules don't own cars, especially '60's cars...!!!

When I joined I recieved the same treatment. I thought it was rude and if the admins didn't like who was joining they can just delete us, right? I was actually supported by other members to NOT listen to the guys that kept taking a jab at my car and year. I'm doing the same for this guy, plus he's my friend and I asked him to join. That is all.
I'll tell you what, We'll be coming out to your neck of the woods for the Sonic/Advanced cruise night on Tower Rd. Remember our cars, find us and I'll buy you a Cherry/Lime-ade :)

  25. Welcome from an "asshat" (lol, I'd never heard that term till the other day when I read about a guy commenting about body shop asshats charging too much). Anyway, a wealth of knowledge here and plenty to learn. The '68 Newport is nice, I happen to have a '68 Mustang but this isn't the place for that so my other On Topic cars are here and not on the mustang corral. The line needed to be drawn somewhere and the HAMB drew that line at 1965. I have to agree with 40StudeDude, your welcome to kick your feet up and have a cold one but please limit the Off Topic '68.

LOL...if you thot that was rude, you shoulda been around here 10 years ago...you'da gone away never wanting to get into cars...!!!

I have no hard feelings toward you on my part...and anyone can "join" the HAMB regardless of what cars they own/drive, it's just that the admin, and a lot of other HAMBers, adhere to the rules. As for me, I like both your Chryslers simply because they are not the norm...as you can tell IF you've ever read any of my threads...

BTW, prefer good ol' Dr. Pepper...

    Thanx, I'll watch for you...
