Hello all. I've visited these pages many times over the years, but considering a project and thought I'd actually join. I've always got one mechanical project or another going on. Pretty well anything with a motor gets my interest. Tractors, cars, trucks, planes, etc... I don't have much in the way of cl***ic vehicles any more, though I still miss my 68 barracuda that I had up until a few years ago when I decided to sell it. But I've had a 66 F100, 67 Falcon and a 74 Cuda I do have a 42 farmall B and a 48 COOP E3 and a 60 farmall 560 and mid sixties 806 and 706. Not much interest to many I'd guess, but it's the only "cl***ic" stuff I've got. I do have an 85 ramcharger that I'm putting a 4bt in but that's the height of my excitement. Anyhow, I decided to join because I've got a 3500 chevy 4x4 where the cab is rusting away into oblivion. Nearby there is a COE chevy in a salvage yard. So I've been thinking about grabbing the cab from the COE and a flat bed and continuing on. But, I wasn't sure about fitment, but I've seen it done. So here I am gathering more knowledge. I saw mentioned that there is a social group here for COEs. I don't always post a lot, unless it's helpful in some fashion, but seeing as I may ask questions I figured it would be good to join.
Welcome from Washington! The COE sub-forum should be of some help, but there have also been a couple of recent builds on the main board; one of those utilizing an 80's 1 ton frame, as I recall. The finished product was a sight to behold; do a Search for it..
