I've loved this site since I found it when I was building my chopper and postin pics on the Jockey Journal. It's now time to sell the chop and find a ride I can cruise in with the family. I've had it on craigslist locally for sale or trade and have had quite a few offers so far but nothing has seemed "right" just yet. I may just have to sell it outright and have the cash ready when the right one comes along. I'm a 14 year firefighter/EMT in central KY and do custom leather tooling as a side business. I built this bike from bone stock and did all the work myself except for welding the hardtail. I really like the looks of just about every genre of cars out there but I've narrowed my focus to a 47-54 Chevy AD truck or the pre 55 bel air years. I have 2 friends here on the fire department that are building rat rods (a 28 tall T and a 34 ford sedan) and I got the fever this year really bad seeing their progress. Plus my 6 year old daughter who really helps me alot when I'm wrenching, probably would like to go with me on these test rides during the build (something she's never been able to do when helping with the chop). So if anyone out there has a ride they're selling (not necesarrily limited to those mentioned above), hit me up with pics and prices. And if anyone's interested in the bike, EVEN BETTER!

Joanie is just fine, Thanks for asking (she actually hates that people call her that...kinda funny though). Truthfully, I'll probably paint "Cha-Chi" on the driver's door of whatever ride I get just so I can put "Joanie" on her door. Thanks for the compliment on the sporty. I saw your rides at the Beatersville last year or the year before, maybe both. I've got lots of pics of them. Great looking pair if I do say so myself.

Welcome from Lexington! I love it here too, no way I could do a project like mine without it. Would you be interested in this?

Hey Biscuit Eater, Nice looking project you have going there. I'd love to stop by and see it someday. I like that big 54/55.1 but I'm working out of a carport here and that may be a little too big for me to tackle until we move to the country. Whatcha want for it anyway?

Hey Mark, I traced my lineage back to the Munro clan in Scotland. Wasn't hard. My last name is Monroe! I even wear a Scottish flag on my firefighting helmet. We're planning a trip to Scotland in the next five years or so hopefully.

Hey come by anytime, just let me know. I'd like to see that '54 go to somebody who'll build it, and not just sell it for scrap.

    Nice job on the chopper!

Wow! Small world. In a town of 20k, there's another HAMBer here. I work for the city fire department here. Maybe we'll catch up some day. Look forward to meeting you. Thanks to everyone for all the greetings. I just bought a 61 Galaxie to work on. Check it out if you get a chance!
