I just registered for real today, but have read and followed the board for a few years. I'm in SW Ohio and have loved cars since birth. I grew up with hot cars (other people's) and collected my share of speeding tickets once I could afford my own.
Started young buying and building model cars. Big Daddy was active then and I was an instant Ratfink fan. Built some wierd models and started customizing and visiting junk yards. Got into college to become a car designer and ended up doing toys and power tools, with cras as a hobby.Built my first real car in the late '90's after driving old iron for over two decades. A friend, Tubbrother #1, Bill Craig, got me into taking my grandma's '60 Falcon and pro-streeting it. Met Bill Roell, Dauber, Shawboy and his dad through Bill as well as lots of brothers from other mothers and great folks through websites like this one. I was buying R&C, Car Craft and Customs mags when they were little and get a kick with Rod Kulture and HR Deluxe when I see resurrected rods that I remember from the first time around! A highlite of my life came when I was exhibiting my Falcon at a show in Jan 2001 and met Big Daddy personally and got him to sign a copy of a January 1962 Rodding and Restyling I had bought new and kept with an article on the Beatnik Bandit. George Barris signed a 1962 Custom Cars annual I had since new at the same show. It all came together that year for me, but was bittersweet as we all know for a lot of reasons. We push on regardless.... break some glass and kick some ass!

A view of my old Falcon and Tubbrother #1's cars.

I'm thinking about the next project and really tossing around a 30's roadster theme with a twist.
