I found this forum while looking for more info on the Heron Hillclimb. Been the owner of a 1949 Dodge Coupe since 1973, and about 14 years ago, had some work done on it by an old So-Cal hotrodder named Jerry Collins (RIP), who convinced me to let him install some vintage hotrod parts in it. I've recently started modifying the appearance of the car. Inspired by my discovery that modern replicas of the old Halibrand wheels are readily available. I'm working on losing the stock bumpers and converting the exhaust system to a "lake" set. I'll post up pictures as it progresses.
