Hi all; transplanted to Dallas from my birthplace in Michigan, driven south by the horrible economy and the resulting destruction of our domestic auto industry. I've always been a car guy but all over the board; saw a few things on the road down here a couple years back that really flipped my lid and that got me interested in traditional rods and customs so here I am! Last year we made it to the Roundup in Austin and Pistons and Paint, great cars but also (as I expected) great people. Still no H.A.M.B. friendly cars but gotta take baby steps. Didn't dump my truck when I paid it off, started doing my own maintenance again. Don't think I could build a car but I'm hoping I could keep something cool running. Life gets busy and making to the Roundup again this year looked iffy; my lovely wife must have seen that 'look' cause she booked the room and took that Friday off! Love the cars, but the people, music, and food for a weekend in Austin are top notch. And anything that makes me lose sleep like a kid on Christmas, well that's just cool. Thanks to everyone here for entertaining me for the last year; not just the amazing car knowledge, but the rea-life stuff, threads about dogs, veterans, life and priorities. Lots of wisdom here. And if you're leaving Kellers on NW Highway some hot night, let it rip 'cause I live close enough to hear!
Hell, you live off northwest highway? I could FART and you'd hear it! HA! PM me I'm right down the road.
Welcome from Lake Texoma. I live at the very north end of Hwy 289 (Preston Road) where it ends at the lake. See ya at LSRU !
Hey Crackerass, was that you I heard the other night? Welcome from the state of Maryland! Don't worry about not having a HAMB friendly car yet. You've got a better chance of locating the right one now that you are here. Good luck finding the dream.......
