Ive wanted to build a car since before I could drive, but only recently have I finally bought a house and have a 2 car garage all to myself (no opener so the wife doesn't want to manually open it). We have a baby on the way, so my motorcycle hobby is out the window. But we agreed that I stay out of trouble better when I'm tinkering. Every time I was researching various cars I found as potential straight axle candidates, I ended up here. So I bought a roller Falcon for $600 (including the tow) and here I am. It was just meant to be. I bought it on the 4th of July and, as fate would have it, the car is red white and blue. Also some black, but I'm ignoring that part. I'm also storing a buddy's '71 XJ6 with a 351C he basically stole from an estate sale for $2k. He was told the tranny puked it's guts out and hadn't ran since. After a couple beers, we charged the battery, turned the key and he ended up taking it around the block.
