For staters, I have been a hot rodder for around 50 years. And yes, I snuck the "little pages" into class. Never been a street rodder although I use that term in the general public crowd when they go huh? My current rides are a 29 AA Ford, 23 Ford dirt track T, and a 30 A pickup. The AA truck is finishing up with rebuild #5. I have owned this truck for 35 years or so. It was my daily driver (30 years) until last Nov. The 8mpg on a 70 mile comute hit that wallet to hard. It runs a 396 BBC with a 177cu" blower. Haul a 22' RV 5th wheel. Looking for a 31-34' as I will be retiring in couple years and intend to spend the winters where it is warm. To haul the heaver trailer (10,000+ lbs) added 1 1/2 ton dually running gear. Made my own front disc. adaptor setup. A few mod's to frame ect.
The 23 was built from frame up. Uses front and rear split 'bones and a Chevy II 153cu" 4 banger with dual Weber side drafts, 9.3 comp. 280H cam ect. (motor is 1964) Blast to drive, with the race car theme (no upholstry) not even seat covers, it is mainly my "town car".
The 30 PU is a work in progress and is to receive a 215" alum. Buick. It will get a QC if I can afford it.

Just like the rest of you, I do all my own work, except for me I pay for uphostery. Buy parts when the money is there and spend almost all the spare time in my shop/garage

OFT is my 29 "Funky Old Truck"

  2. Welcome....from another old fart. Your choice of engines is right on ! The Chevy II 4-banger and 215 Buick motors are two of my favorites.
