New kind of Been inactive on here for years

    Hi everybody. Names Chris. I've been googling everything on my 53 customline four door and it always brings me to you guys or at least jalopy. I got my customline when I was 14. Parents went through a divorce and my dad put the car in my name. I'm 35 now. The car always took a backburner to other projects. I also had a 57 ranchero 312 3 dueces and a 60 cad 4 door hardtop. I finally decided to join you guys instead of googling my issue. I have a 302 in it from a 72 fairlane and a c4 out a 65 mustang with the dreaded green dot white dot. Just took it to the shop to have it rebuilt $550 with torque converter and a 67 valve body. Right now I have long tube headers on it. The Allen bolts are a pain to get to being I had to remove the headers to pull the c4. Not to mention the hammer modification by the steering box. Im looking for a set of headers to fit better with more accessable bolts. I was thinking center dump headers but if theres a decent set of rear dump shrotys i would consider them. Had to loosen the driver side motor mount to pull the headed. Speaking of motor mounts ive seen alot of mention of kits on here. Mine are homemade. Comes from my dad saying "we have a mig and torches itll fit". You guys somewhat helped me out with a charging problem I had. I'm running the gm alt. My problem ended up being too small a wire. Well I hope to help and get help here.
