    You need to "Key-Hole" the tab for the rerverser, after awhile they tend to get loose and pop out of gear. Since the tab is welded to housing-now would be the time to change it.

    Bruce. I can still so that and that is the plan. I just plan on slotting the tab and turning a grove in the handle on the lathe.
     
  6. Hi Harry, I was curious I've seen the chute pack bodies for sale but not one that goes over the cage. Is that available from somewhere or is it hand made?

    That was a one off body done for my chassis with the agreement between Harry and my self that no other bodies be made from my bucks. I haven't heard from Harry in a while, but he's a talented, top notch craftsman that I'm sureyou'll could help you out with a body if he is still doing that of work.

    Cant believe that I have missed this one. You have a great looking car hope to get a chance to see it run .I need to get over to King chassis and check him out I have got to have a digger some day.

    This is the thread that got me to become a member of the site man.

    Have you read it right from the start?Cause it is nothing short of amazing.

    I can't wait to see this car finished.The level of work on it is absolutely top notch.:)

    Yes I did Scott I have wanted a digger as long as I can remember. All I can say is this car is bad ass.

    Sorry once again for the delayed updates, but when the Hollish car comes out work stops on the new car. Winter is on the way so I'll get back on it soon. I did manage to score Don Long spill plates and connecting rods for a front wing. Everything was "raw" and needed to be machined and hand filed. wing.jpg wing2.jpg

    I was reading some of your old post and I have a 1959 FED, have just put a 409 in it, and now putting a Cubert in and out box, which has a six spine out put shaft, like I saw in your 2009 post. I need to have one made like did. Any suggestions
    I have been running Buick with Ford 1940 trans with 2nd/3rd, hooked to 40 Ford rearend with a Scotty Fin safety hubs, have been thinking about putting Ford9" axles in banjo housing.

Body mount tabs 95% installed, Corey Conyers updated my Donovan breathers to make them NHRA legal (per my Ideas). Coupler cover made, Valve covers polished, Intake polished. Matched the wood from the pedal, wheel, and brake handle to the front wing and got my Dearmore Rockers from Roger (RiceMan) Lee. Not much else to say for now.

    How did you make your breathers NHRA legal. Got some MT breathers similar that I need to do something with.

    look closely at the photos and you will see a stub for the burndown tube welded to the front breather stack on each cover. Really only required if you plan to run NT/F but not a bad idea.

    Rooman is right. However the top of the breather was also cut off and and a plate welded into the mushroom part to seal it up and make it a non-breather.

    Well, the body is 95 percent mounted. Scored a real Frankenstein Magneto. I'll be mounting the swing clutch pedal at some point this weekend.
