Ok......I ditched the whitewalls in favor of a new set of Coker Cl***ic blackwalls. I wanted a different look and also they are more freeway friendly... Next step is to get a set of 42 Merc Hubcaps

I'm more partial to the whitewall look, but they're both cl***ic and the car looks great both ways.

fronts are 5:50 x16 and rears are 7:50 x 16. i had 15" rims in front before so i had Wheel Vintiques make a set of 16" rims for the front.

Perfect! I'm sick of seeing whitewalls. Even on my coupe. Your coupe now has the cl***ic look of tough s o' *****. Whitewalls kind of had a girlie flavor.

I really like the cl***ic white wall look, but the drivability ****s. I cant believe that ****er cant make those bias ply tires more drivable since they were used for some 50 years. I too am about to ditch my white walls and those that you got may be a good alternative.

Very nice! I like to black sidewalls look.

Are they that much better to drive over the biasply's? Do you only notice a difference on the higher speeds or any speed?
I like the look of the tires and am suprised none of the "Purists" arent chiming in with comments.
The new ones you have are radials? Either way, I like them, they look great and so does your coupe! On top of the frame is great to see.

Yea the difference is night and day over bias plys. On the freeway they glide right over the grooves and i can drive a lot faster now and feel safe. They also stop quicker.
