Ever now and again I come across a car that just nails the right look. This is one of them cars. I thought the white walls were a bit much for this car, but the change was right on.

Interesting so many people like blackwalls. I've always dug 'em. WWW look good on certain cars, but they always seemed like the "rich" kids tire. I'll alert Street Rodder of this new "fad".:D

    Tough!

Your choice of 16" front rim makes a difference I think.

    Enjoy.

Nice car with either tire choice. In this case I like the black walls better, it gives it a no-nonsense aggressive look.

Back in the 50's we all had to have white walls I had firestone 6.70/15 on frt. and 8.20/15 on rear. But with the black wall radials there was much bettter handling and ride and felt safer when speeds got up in the 130 mph , the 37 felt as if I was losing control with the bias tires when speeds got close to 90. By the way I like your tires either way, great lookin rod.

Ok i guess the consensus is most everyone likes it better with the blackwalls.as with everything i do, i spent a long time agonizing over the choice{why i dont know, guess i spend waaaaay to much time thinking about my car..LOL} Anyway thanks for the compliments everyone. Next project is putting in a roll down rear window, ever since i saw Chris Casneys coupe had one i am hooked to do that!

Maybe (I hope) we are turning the corner away from the trend of white wall tires. Looks great, and functionality has rewards of its own.

I like WWW, but the black walls give the coupe a "this is a serious, no gold chain, go-fast, no ****in' around, ready to rumble" hot rod look to them!

  26. I bought a set for the Model A I am building. Yes, they are expensive. But if you drive a lot they should last longer than bias ply tires.
