Im Ray Gross from the Bluegrass State,Trying to figure out what my 327 complete motor is worth so I can sell it,I took it out of a 69 Camaro in 1979,and put it in a 66 Impala and took it down 1/8 mile track 2 times and it ran 10:40's with Auto tranny,Car was totally stock,no headers,no rearend gears,nothing at all on car was race parts.Drove it very little on the road for abt. 2 years approx. put 2000 miles on it and parked it in the barn and for years did hand turn motor over till 6 years ago sold the body and kept the motor in the barn where it is today.Hoping to put it in my 70 Nova,but now because of health reasons cant do it my self and cant afford to pay to have it done,I do know numbers show it is a 69 327,and it does have double hump heads,A motor head drag racer told me if it run 10:40 in the stock Impala it must have more than stock parts internally,Just would like advice of what the motor is worth ballpark vise,Thanks,PS: Also have a 2 Door H/T 60 Impala not sure what its worth either!....I hope I am posting this post in the correct place,If not let me know!
At this time I am paying 12 cents per pound. you must drain oil remove filter. that should average between 60 to 70 dollars if complete.

Hey Ray: Dad bud is correct. Try starting a new thread and tell us a little about yourself. I'm sure your not wanting to scrap the 327. The heads along are worth at least a hundred bucks. Its been 15 years since I bought a pair and paid that for them. Look around here and CL and see what they are bringing. Greetings from the SW side of town and welcome to the hamb..Tim
