Man... I sort of wish that crazy broad would have hit your ***... Make my life a little easier.... Course, then who would Jimmy Shine look up to?

And for the record, I actually like Garage... and the concept... I helped Stoner start the rag after all...

Does MAD magazine still do that thing on the inside back cover were you fold it in three and it makes a different picture. I used to love that.

    Never seen TRJ do that!

The sad thing is...It could be a good magazine...It could have good tech articles, and nice feature cars...but I doubt that it will. They've allready staked there claim on the "walletz" of the "Johnny Suede"-come-latelys that want to know the best way to spray the red on the wheels of there new '65 dodge 4-door rat rod.

They could take the high road and be a quality mag...but I think they are band-wagon "jumperz".

I see a way for established, quality, mags to sneek into the hands of the "misguided"....
    How about: HIP-HOP-UP? THE RODERZ JOURNAL? RIZ-OLLS & PLIZ-EATS?

Question....has any one actually looked at the mag??? I get a feeling from the comments that very few have.

As for "K's" and "Z's" used in the spelling of some words, they've been used in our culture allot longer than most of you have been around.

    Hey Ryan...no Fortune 500?
Magazines are always gonna try to tap into what's hot. Just like fashion mags following the trends. Rodders Journal has got to be the best all-around hotrod mag,IMO. Since joining the HAMB,I find myself looking through the other mags to see if there any HAMBers in them.

Like I said...They COULD put out a good mag...but the ***le seems to make me think they are just cashing in on the "trend" aspect of hot rodding that is going around. I'll probably buy it anyway. I buy the other "z" mags...but that doesn't mean that I don't know the difference between hot rods and hot rodz.

They've shown their hand buy naming it REBEL RODZ....If it's HOP-UP with hot chicks inside, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

"K's" and "Z's" used in our culture may have been around longer than me...but people diliberately making their cars look like **** so they can "fit in" or be in the middle of a fad or whatever is new.

I like hot rods, and I like hot rod magazines, and I hope that this one turns out to be worthwhile...and I see this thread getting out of hand and locked...

I dunno, it's a "new" mag, they might invent a new kustom idol to worship... :D

If it's anything like Tailgate, the girls and eye candy will carry the content....
of course, Tailgate is gone, now, though... right?

I'll buy the 1st issue, because in 3 years when half of you tards start fawning over it, I'll make $40 off it, just like OSR and CKD. Everyone here bashes them, but they bring in as much (if not more) then some of the "real deal" mags of the 50s and 60s.

How true, it's very traditional.. I've been using the 'Z' to spell words like zebra, zero, zinc, zoom, etc. for over 50 years.. :D

So, it's still in print? I haven't seen it anywhere around here....

and Zephyr is a traditional word commonly spelled with a Z.... and zoom, and Smart Shoppaz....

  29. ...and stunnaz...

The cover car looks promising, but the name suggests otherwize...

Sad thing is, Easyriders will probably cash-in on this one...as bad as it is, OSR must be making money for another company see it and say ME TOO! Hopefully all they're bitin' is the cheesy name...I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
