    PowerGlide Magazine !!

I don't have sent a lot of posts those last weeks, because I was (and still be) really busy.
Really busy because, since several months, we're working on a new magazine !
Some months ago, Laurent Bagnard, the french photographer who made "CheatersVille", a really nice book about the swiss car club "the Cheaters", start to work on a new magazine project.
He ask me to join the team to work on the magazine layout and graphic design.
So, with also some other Hambers like CheatersPete and CheatersPY, and a third talented website guy, we start to work on this project, who is now almost ready.

The magazine will be called "PowerGlide". Full color, 100 pages.
PowerGlide will show you the european hotrod & kustom scene, but also some US meetings & cars. That's why you maybe saw Laurent in California some days ago, and me in the Chicago area. You will also find some fine US contributors.

PowerGlide will be distributed in the french newstands. The magazine will be in french, but it will also be distributed all over the world in the hotrod magazines networks. Of course, as the magazine is in french, a english translation of the main articles will be available on the magazine website.
And great news, I'm not the guy who make the translations :). You certainly notice that english is not my speciality :)
Anyway, PowerGlide will also be available by paypal in the website.

You can now visit the website, http://www.powerglidemag.com, and find some informations, and also some goodies like a downlodable video.

The first issue will be ready at the end of this month !
Stay tuned for more informations, we will post the content informations soon !

Looked pretty good on the post out and website, only thing is English speaking folks are going to want an english translation on the mag, check what Burnout and Smokin Shutdown do, even with those you just about have to walk folks through the fact there is english next to the Jap/German..... unless that is you fancy taking the lap top for a trip to the bathroom :)

    We know that.
PowerGlide is first a magazine for the french newstands supported by a (french) US motorcycles magazine.
But we want also show this magazine to the world.
First by this magazine + website translation, maybe later with a english edition, but not for now, we need now to finish it and try to make it perfect for the end of month release !

Hope you will like it ! even in french :) (It will be a really graphic mag, with lots of cool pics)

Injected '55.... I like it already!

  13. I agree.....looked great BUT....the French text will kill it here. Even if it was bi-lingual, most seem to view it as buying half a magazine, plus most of my customers are dudes that don't have computers so there's no chance of them downloading articles in English. A real pity. I might grab a few copies though, for the absolute die-hards and myself.

Just a precision: The PowerGlide Magazine website's webmaster/webdesigner is Stéphane Messier, the guy behind this great hot rod & kustom website:http://www.ironinprogress.com/

It was a pleasure to meet you when you were in Chicago.

Best of luck with your mag. Feel free to contact me if there's anything I can do to help out in the future.

When you get the chance, let me know how those pics of my '62 Pontiac came out.

  27. Looks like it will be an awesome mag!

I'll have to grab a couple of issues through Peddro...I don't think I will mind about the language...I used to buy NITRO when I was living in France and couldn't understand a word in that, but always seemed to figure out what was going on! :) Plus I love seeing what's going on in Europe...as there sure as hell aint nothing goin on here!
