Hi guys long time lurker, just picked up this 1959 Edsel Ranger 2 door sedan 292 auto. Needs a couple rust repairs but nothing major then looking forward to digging in here and putting her together hopefully in time for roundup 2020. Been a few times but never with a car.

Welcome from Indiana! Great looking ride. There are a lot of cars we made fun of back in the day that I would own today in a heart beat. Congrats. Randy

Welcome fellow Edsel owner! I've got some bubbled paint in the same areas that you do. I haven't seen that green color too often.

A nice start with a nice car and a good introduction. I like your parking brake, it's traditional

    Hello,

The stance of your Edsel looks to be about right. But it is very low in the front. You might want to check your springs and shocks to be legal. (lowest point to the ground versus low part of rim.) But, in the second photo, the rear tires look too big, causing the higher elevation of the rear fender/bumper area. Are the rims and tires the same sizes? They don’t look like the same, so that may be the “stink bug in the air” stance problem. Bigger blocks in the rear will make you the "king of stink bugs." (No need for 3 inch blocks)

Remember, the set stance with an empty car will be slightly higher during photographs. With some passengers in the car, the stance will get lower. The need for measurements is necessary with a full load of people or stuff in the trunk.

Here is a So Cal "Cal Rake" 1957 Chevy that was recently photographed before the "locked in place" directive. The tires are well suited to the Chevy Bel Air and the lowered Cal Rake fits quite well. With three additional normal people, it would get a lot lower, but it looks like it would still be CHP legal.
