I’ve been reading threads here for years and figured it was time to become a member. I’m 32 and been working on car sense I was old enough to walk. Dad taught me to use what I had, what I could trade for or what I could buy reasonably cheap to build my cars. I just got my 55’ Chevy 210 4 door on the road and now I’m moving to my 55’ ford. It’s a customline 4 door with a 272 y block and a 3 speed. I’m not sure if we can save the y block without a rebuild so I may be swapping it for a 302 and c6.

Thank you. I’m definitely an old school car guy. Right now I’m trying to get the old y block ready to start but it’s honestly looking like it might need a rebuild, if so I’ll probably swap in a 302 and maybe a c6 my friend is selling me. I’ll store the y block and 3 speed for a later date.
