I have been reading for a few weeks and I want to introduce myself. My name is Alan and I have 2 cars that I am working on. I started building a pro-touring 66 chevy II. But I was recently reunited with my 56 chevy from when I was in high school some 25 years ago. I just can't bring myself to change it to anything other than the way I built it back in the mid eighties. It has a 327 and a automatic - of which I did not build. The 327 is the exact motor I built all those years ago and I think the onlky thing changed was the cam. So I am going to rebuild the 327 and put a 4 speed in the car which is how the car was originally built. I am already getting good ideas from you guys - just need to stay away from the g***ers - they seem to have a draw that I need to avoid for now... hahaha Alan
Welcome, I signed up on H.A.M.B. a few years ago and whenever I log in, I'm on it for hours. Hard to quit reading, too interesting. Lots of questions, comments, replies and great reading to do anything else. When I'm real dedicated to reading all the threads, I put on my headphones and go onto my iTunes and really enjoy the experience. I have a '36 Ford I'm building and had Hunley Acuff in Roseville or Rossville, GA re-vulcanize my running boards. He did a fantastic job, almost too nice to use. Anyhow, welcome and enjoy the ride.
Welcome from Erie, PA. Gathering parts for a 327 build myself. Starting with a '69 block, MFI, Vertex, etc. Look forward to your posts.
