I am a firefighter in a Kansas City suburb. I don't own anything that is a "hot rod" so much, but I have a 1964 Chevrolet C-10 that my grandpa bought new, and a 2005 Mustang GT. The main reason I joined this site is to gain knowledge of the famous Ford flathead. I am helping a couple of other guys restore our town's first firetruck. It belongs to our firefighter's ***ociation now and we are doing a frame up on it. It is a 1935 Ford with a 46-48 59A flathead. One of the other guys working on it also owns our town's 2nd truck, which is a 1957 F-600 with a 292 y-block. It is all original with 13,000 miles and I try to take it to as many shows and parades as I can. This is an awesome board and full of great information. thanks dp

thank you all for the warm welcome. I will try to get some pictures up as soon as I can. Hopefully the engine will be ready to put back on the frame soon.
