Hi everyone. Starting a plan to make a 1929 chevy road worthy. The car belonged to my father and he had started on it before he passed away and my goal is to finish the car and get it on the road. I refer to my operation as the "Office Dweller's Garage". My father built several hot rods over his years but I have none of those skills and will be doing everything for the first time. I did grow up around it and know the ins and outs - and I have tools and am mechanically inclined. We shall see how far that takes me. The car needs a number of things - brakes, electrical, and interior work. I simply want to get it to the point that it will drive, and then down the road I will look to update it during my retirement years. I sure wish my father was here... but I know he's with me in spirit. 29-chevy by kevvan posted Nov 5, 2024 at 10:55 PM Thanks for having me and thanks in advance for any help you might offer as I meander my way through the dumb questions and progress toward my goals. Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois. This place should be able to help. I suggest you work on only ONE thing at a time. This may slow progress, yet each small victory will motivate moving toward the big picture. Try not to be overwhelmed or over frustrated, as then you lose momentum.
