Hey, just wanted to introduce myself to all you members, my name is Ed and I'm from Orange County, NY. Yes... NY not CA... there is always some problems that arise and everyone thinks I live on the west coast. Anyway, just wanted to say that I think its great that a place like this is around cause God knows we all need help every now and again workin on cars. Which brings me to my first question: I found a 35 ford 5 window coupe on the side of the road while I was driving. The rust is pretty bad on it. I didn't get a chance to see the floor however you can see straight into the trunk and all thats left of the seats are springs. The guy is askin $2500 for it as is, do you guys think its worth it or should I look else where. I mean I could always try to talk him down, I just think thats a bit high for the condition its in. I will attempt to get some pictures up so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks
Welcome Eddie_T.. Good to see another NYer on here As far as the '32..i personally think it's a good price now days. I bought one a couple years ago that is missing all floors and subrails and paid 3000 for it, and smiled when i did. It's one of those things, do you want a steel 32 ford..if so, grab it before someone else does.. I have a friend that found mine for me, and he's been looking for another since and can't find one. Hell, if you decide not to get it, let me know. He'd be interested in it if your not. ( if you honestly decide to p*** on it, i'm serious, let me know..thanks) Good luck with whatever you decide man.. Tony.
Welcome Eddie, We haven't seen you "building" bikes on the Discovery Channel have we? RASHY
Thanks for your posts already everyone. I probably will pick it up as soon as I get some money together. As far as seeing Paul Sr and Mikey around...yeah... its very amusing to bump into them at the grocery store. And thank you bettievixin for the advice, I'll definetly have to take that into consideration so I don't get decapitated next time. lol Funny you mention that Curious Rash, I actually applied there to work in the office doing sales when they had an ad in the paper.
Welcome to the HAMB Eddie...I went driving around Montgomery a little and couldn't find the place in the short time I was there.....I know it's technically Rock Tavern, but can ya tell me what road its on? lol...man I'm a loser. Enjoy the HAMB and good luck with getting that 32. Greg
You did say 35, not 32, correct? I'd p*** if I were you. I know it's more money, but a guy down your way has a 35 5 window, later flathead, juice brakes, new bias wide whites, new paint, all it needs is interior, Nice running & driving car, asking $14,500. Another guy up here has a 35 4 door. later flathead & juice brakes, real solid and nice, would take very little to get it up & driving for $3500. Just something to think about. Oh yeah, welcome fellow over taxed NY'er!
Yeah i noticed i miss read too.. Never came back to correct it.LOL Well, good luck with it anyhow .. Rat....
Welcome Eddie. I'll be up there at the Fair to watch the World of Outlaws run, Monday nite 7/26. Good to have you aboard. Bil
WOW, I must say all of you guys are great. This is perhaps the best response I have gotten from joining any online forum. Nice to see that this place has a nice sense of community. Great to see there are NY'ers here. Maybe when I get a project rolling you guys can come over for some beer and constructive critisizm of how I'm gonna mess up the car. hahaha Moondisc, can you PM with some info on that 35 4door for $3500? I'd really apprieciate it.
