    Hello all! Wow....I've been visiting the HAMB for a while now, but I never really new how the 'groups' aspect worked until tonight!

    Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Jeff from Syracuse, NY. My darlin' is a 1955 Fairlane Club Sedan with a 272 connected to a 3-speed. I never seem to have luck attaching files or adding pictures, but I'm going to try in the morning. Anyway, I'm sure you'll be hearing from me with lots of dumb questions! :rolleyes:

    Jeff , welcome to the best group of people you will ever find in one place ! there is a wealth of information and many with lots of really good knowledge of Fords and what you need to do to get your going if and when you have a problem .
    Remember this one thing , there are no Dumb or Stupid questions asked here ! We just ask questions that we don't know the answer for . This is way different than the main board . You would be cussed at or called names just because you want to learn something about your Ford !
    I also have a 55 Fairlane that is a fordor . It had a 272 w/FoM and now it's been sold and installed into another hotrod to live on ! I am finishing up my engine that I build and will be backed up with a C4 . I just wanted something with a lot more HP than the Y block could give me for the money , plus if I break down I can get parts anyplace for a 302/5.0 !
    So if you have any questions , PLEASE feel free to ask and you will get a lot of good and helpful answers too .

    I also sell a computer disc with all the spread sheets and illustrations of Fords from 1949 to 1959 that will help you figure things out when you take them apart or try to find a part . They are $10 to your door so if you or anyone else would be interested in one , please send me a PM and I will tell you how to get one . There are many people in the group that have one already !

    Welcome Friend !

    Jim

    Welcome from California. As for dumb questions, be fearless. You can learn alot here.

    PS. Thanks to the group I quit trying to start the Ford by pumping the window washer.:eek:

    Thanks guys for all the greetings!

    @the-stiq: thanks for that link....I'm actually going to check it out now. I just finally got some really good pics (with the help of a friend) and they're safely on my 'puter, but I keep getting an 'upload failed' message. Hrmph....I expect to run into roadblocks on my Y-Block, not here!

    @dragonknucks: I get out to Phoenix relatively often. Next time I do, I may hit you up about cruise nights/shows, etc, if that's ok with you. Granted, I try to avoid heading out during the summer. :)

    @1956Ford: hillarious!

    Finally, one last question out to the group (didn't seem to warrant its own thread): anyone know of any good cruise nights in the Portland, OR area? I'm heading out there on Monday for a few days and it's always nice to have something to do at night.

    EDIT: Just figured out what was going on with the pics last night....they were way over the size limit. Guess I forgot that buddy with good camera = large file size pictures. I cut'em down to size and got them loaded into an album in my profile. I noticed that you can send pictures to your group to, so I hope nobody minds that I sent 4 from my album over here.

    Wow, thanks everyone!

    @old lady's mad: do you know where abouts around here? I always get a kick when I find out that some extended family or something is from the 'Cuse.

    @parklane: anywhere near Port Hope? I know a few people from PH, ON because we have a foundry up there. Nicest people you ever wanted to meet (though aren't all Canadians? :) )
