Hello, My name is David and I'm from the Bay Area, CA. Like most people here, I've always read the HAMB regarding different posts and topics. It took all this time for me to FINALLY make an account and start posting as well. but there's another reason why I'm doing this. My goal is to document the progress of my 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook. Just a bit about me, I went to a tech school in San Bruno, CA. Shortly after graduating, I started my career at an independent shop in San Francisco. Fast forward to now, I'm an ASE certified tech. I've had my 1951 Plymouth for about 2 years and it's undergoing a HUGE transformation. Originally equipped with a 96HP flathead, this Plymouth is now Chevy Powered. SBC 4 bolt main, mated to a 5 speed T5 with a Mustang rear end. I'll be posting many photos and how-to videos. Thanks for allowing me to introduce myself and I hope to meet some cool folks.
This is about the best intro that I have read for a while. You are on a good path, enjoy the stroll. We like pictures as they are worth 900 words (inflation ya know). A hearty welcome to the HAMB.
Hi & welcome grate looking ride My current ride is a 1950 Plymouth deluxe 4 door. I have done complete engine overhaul on the old 218 along with brakes, 12 volt system, new wipers ect. I have also added new Coker bias look radial look wide white walls. The photo shows it when I purchased last year. It is down right now waiting on installation of new gauges & speedo and it will be soon back on the road soon ready for this years tours & events. There have been a bunch of the early 50's Mopars shoeing up here lately. Jimmie
