such cool garage art... but I'd love to know what is is

what do I call this car if someone asks?
what kind of power would it have had?
    how old were the drivers?
any idea on it's value or desirabilty?
    what if I needed parts?

    again.. thanks to all

Looks like a 1/4 midget. I guess the 1/4 refers to a 250cc motor. Much like a Go Kart.

Are you sure it is not from an amusement park ride?

The Continental engine would have put it in the quarter midget class, popularized in the '50s.

  14. i had a sears walk behind tractor that had a 3 hp continental engine [if i remember right] so maybe look for one of those for the right engine.

  15. Is there any kind of drive sprocket on the rear axle? If not it may well be an amusement park ride.

  16. Squirrel nailed it, even a Motor City Special! Same body, same bumpers, even the tread on the front tires are similar!

  17. Says MOTOR CITY SPECIAL on the hood???
