    Hi just wanted to introduce myself. Im shoebox Joe of the Cavaliers in Long Beach Cali. Im new to this site and wanted to introduce myself and my kustom. Heres a pic of for ya'll. Im sure you will see many posts from me with a plethera of tech questions for all ya old timers who know soo much info on flatheads. Much respect to all on this board.

    It's Suede clear coat mixed with primer. It looks great in the pics but up close it can drag ya down. The prework was rushed. And check this. I scraped the drivers side in a nice straight line from front fender to the rear. just before we took off to the Primer Natls. Well it's time to re-paint her. Im thinking this time. A blackcherry suede. How does that sound. comments much appreciated.

    im running the Og tranny still 3 on the tree. I had my Tranny rebuilt by a great shop who takes pride in old sleds and does nothing but rear ends. it's called the Gear shop. Gary is the owner. 562-634-1396 Tell him Joey with the 49 sent ya.

    Nice car w/ no mistakes and a set of 57 Caddys. Man after my own heart!! Oh ..Wait a minute,My car is full of mistakes!
     
  18. How can you loose with 57 Caddy caps, suede, wide whites and a drop job? It's perfect. Makes me wish I'd gone with those caps and tires instead of this......

    I think the Black Cherry sounds good, I've always liked that color. That sucks about the scrape. Damn nice car to work with.
