Hello my name is Chris. I am an early 40 something who has decided to go back to what I originally wanted when I first started a drive, the model A ford. When I was starting to drive, I wanted to have something different than what was in the parking lot. Unfortunately, I didn't have the knowledge, skills, or relationships to bring the vision of my model A to life back than. Now after almost 30 years of experience, building, fabricating, troubleshooting, assembling antique vehicles and equipment, I am able to do what I wanted way back than. Today, I call Newark, Delaware home, at least till the end of the year. I get around and about most traditional car shows from northeast Pennsylvania to the Jersey shore to Baltimore. I am always up for looking to traditional cars for inspiration. I have been looking at the H.A.M.B. boards for quite a while, reading, gaining knowledge, assembling a plan for my 1930 ford coupe. The plans call for a traditional build with ford 16" wire wheels, juice brakes from a 1940 ford front and rear, and having it become a driver. The stock driveline will be left intact, until it strands me somewhere remote with no cell phone reception.... (than maybe an early flathead or olds later) Whats the fun of having it, if you don't use it!
Thank you for the warm welcome! It's great to know that the local and national connection is here. Also, thanks for the tip on Jalopyrama this fall.
