Hello everyone name is Dan been reading and following many of the threads and builds here on the H.A.M.B for several years. Never had a ride that fit the criteria. Been building and restoring Mopars for about 30 years and have grown out of the numbers matching, paint markings bla bla.... Finally found a car that fits here and am excited about it! being a Mopar guy it fits me too. Picked up a 42 Chrysler Windsor. Goal right now is to upgrade the suspension and drive train. Maybe find an 354 or 392 hemi for it, I don't want to "restore" it but follow the path of a hotrod! I want to do this build the old way, finding part from other guys in the hobby and swap meets an such I don't want it to a catalog build as so many of the restorations have become. I'd like to start a build thread but not exactly sure where to post it hotrod or custom. I know it can be tough crowd here with all the rules so if I step out of line sorry in advance
Welcome from Indiana! Looks like a good start. Don’t worry about the rules really. You’ve obviously read them so build the car how you want it done and if some of mods are out of the focus here just don’t discuss or upload pics. Do your thing and enjoy it.
