Hello. I am an old retired guy who has a 15 year old son (my last!) who loves 50s cars. Just learning to drive, but wanted an old car for his own. Found a 1955 Ford Fairlane 2 dr. which has an old backyard restoration. Car has lots of things wrong with it, but getting them fixed a little at a time. Looks sharp and gets lots of waves, thumbs up, smiles and even photos taken. Latest headache is that the doors do not close fully and now the driver's door has sagged. One thing after another, but he is proud to be seen in it and he loves looking at it and sitting in it. I have created a lovable monster by relating how much I liked the 50s as a kid. Hope to learn a lot and make some cyber friends on this site. Thanks. Blancojoe...
Welcome to the HAMB. 55 fords are one of my favorites. Having owned a few in the past I have also had to replace the latches and hinges on a couple doors. Post some pictures
