Customs New member. Searching for grandfathers old ride

  1. I can't remember if this picture was posted here before.
    This is a model car, hi-boy '32, scalloped purple paint.
    It looks like it could be a model of a later version of the
    lost car. The thing that makes it is the way the door window
    trim is painted. It looks the same. Maybe the car was used
    as example for the model.

    What a great story! I checked the Larry Watson video and this screenshot is from that video. Sure seems like the 32 in question so no doubt it was painted there. Screenshot_20220103-201059_Chrome.jpg

    You may never be able to locate this car as it could have been rebuilt years ago in a different configuration or it could have been wrecked. :(

    Have you thought about building a clone?

    I have thought about that quite a bit. To get it close to that would be astronomical I’m sure. But it’s not off the table just gonna keep looking for a little while longer before I break it to the wife I’m gonna be starting another project lol
