Hello fellow members, I'm situated just north of the Detroit city limits. Sorry if you heard about Kwame. I didn't elect him. Anyhow, I just took purchase of a 1947 Ford coupe chassis, basically complete. I'm looking for some info on these parts. Anyone know about brakes? these here are hydraulic -any problems with serviceing them? Who has CHEAP parts for these brakes?. My front axle is bent,(when looking from top) who can straighten it? (local shop-we need the work). I have already seen the thread here (I ain't too dumb) about converting closed drive "Banjo" rear axle's to "Open Drive", but Has have you ever tried it?. If yes, how did it go?, - details would be good. And, last, Anybody got an easy ID guide for Ford wheels? (Stuff that's 5 X 5-1/2" bolt pattern). I'm not trying to ID some "rare" Milk bottle wheels, just some rusty junk I've got here in the driveway. Actually 2 of the 4 are 16". How do hubcaps clip onto 16" wheels?. Any Help is much appreciated, I hope there are some 'Bro's here to help. I'm not looking for harassment, just some respectable new friends. Any help is much 'preciated. -R
