Couple more odds and ends on the inner door. 20170926_140734.jpg 20170926_140739.jpg 20170926_140745.jpg 20170926_140750.jpg 20171002_143258-1.jpg

  2. Jeeze, I'll bet that you have just as much time thinking about what to do next as actually doing it. Very nice.

    Hey Rytang,
I've enjoyed following your thread. I appreciate your dedication and attention to detail, you'll go far with those qualities.
I would advise you to ditch the butt weld clamps and invest in some clecos, so you can close up some of those gaps. I think you'll be pleased with your results. After going to clecos, I'll never use those clamps again, I couldn't give mine away.
There is another clamp called "grippers" that are supposed to work well and leave no gap too, but I have not had the chance to try them out yet.

Anyway, keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing the finished car.

He has clecos. It's whatever works for you at the time.

That inner panel detail is insane. I vote at least one clear vinyl door panel to show it off.

Bravo brother. One door down. The second one will be a cinch, right?

Haha thank you brother. I was actually gonna use clear vinyl to make the templates for the door panels. I've actually got some more metal work plans for the inner door that include some lights and some really cool ashtrays I found on eBay. But I'm still working on this one door haha. I'm working on the door gap now. I am not looking forward to the other door that's for sure.

Here's the ashtrays I bought. I have no idea what they are from, I just liked their shapes. They are stainless steel and cost me $8. Anyone know what they came from? Screenshot_2017-10-28-11-55-15-1.png Screenshot_2017-10-28-11-55-23-1.png

Finding more bad body work. This was the shaved door handle filler. Right in the curved body line of the car. I swear one day I'm gonna start the passenger door. 20171029_170115.jpg

I thought long and hard about your comment. I did do the shave job, and all the other metal work about 6 years ago. Back then I was a drug using alcoholic, now I'm almost 4 years clean and trying to do better at everything I do. Your comment helped me decide to fix all the bad work I did back then. Thank you to everyone that comments and pushes me to do my very best work. Now to start cutting the ugly off. 20171029_170115.jpg 20171105_154137.jpg 20171105_154143.jpg 20171121_154314.jpg 20171121_154540.jpg

Give yourself two pats on the back Rytang...a double comeback...with amazing grace...;)...I consider myself fortunate to witness what your doing and get to know you as well even if it's virtual. This is of course a combination of many dots connecting on so many levels one being the Hamb itself. Onward head held high you go and we enjoy the path you're on.
