NE57 is the prefix of the block casting numbers for a 57 chrysler hemi, Hey I needed a screen name in a hurry. So that's what I have..a '57 392. And I have this 66 Dart. Odd pairing and a tough job I know but at least it will be different.

So far I've found the internet most useful in learning what I need to do. In fact I wouldn't even have this motor and car if not for the web, Yay Web!

I had swapped a 354 hemi into a '64 Dodge Polara some 35 years ago and the itch got in me to do it again, but better this time. The B body swap was not hard but this A body is going to be a challenge for sure. Fifty pounds of sauage in a 25 pound bag.

I gather HAMB is more oriented to traditional hot rods but if there's good info to be had, I hope you all will put up with me. At some point, probably in retirement, I'd like to build a flattie, maybe in a Bantam or Model A, real first generation hot rod. But for now the Dart is what I'm kean on. So I'll be asking questions as I go along.

Welcome ne57. I joined not too long ago myself because of all the good hemi information that is available. Enjoy.
