Mid california? Whereabouts mid? The truck lived in Dinuba before we brought it back home here. it was my wife's grandfather's farm truck. We're third generation Studebaker drivers!

Dinuba is about 150 miles south of us, we’re about 30 miles east of Lodi in cattle country. My Stude pickup came from the estate of an old friend. It’s a 1952 with a 389 Pontiac engine and trans. It was hot rodded in the early 60s, driven around LA and then stored in a warehouse in Long Beach, Ca for 50+ years. Lots of Studebaker fans here on the HAMB.

The 2R's all look the same lol. mine has original everything and what i replaced i did so with OEM stuff except tires. Champion motor, no heat, no turn signals, no radio, it came with 4.89 in the rear it was a farm truck, i swapped it with a twin traction 3.73 so at least 1st gear works now. before you had low, which was useless unless you were walking by the truck throwing in hay with no driver, then first which was still too low, had second and then you're done at third and at 40 the motor is coming out of the hood! lots of spare parts always good to have. It's a very fun truck!

Again, welcome from CA. I grew up on a farm near Dinuba, but now live on the Central Coast. I was surprised to see that on the door, as it is a pretty small farming community.

    And I like the roadster!
