Hey, thanks everyone for making this wealth of esoteric bullshit and pretty much useless horseshit available to a 60 year old fart like me. I don't have the time or the money to be involved in this stuff and my energy is pretty low but I think that I am genetically linked to it. Somewhere there is a big box of family photos with me perched on the front tire of a 1936 ford coupe jalopy that my dad raced in california in the early 50's. I handed him tools, learned to cuss and cleaned a lot of parts and later on did a few late night engine swaps and learned to drink black coffee.
Those days are gone, after many aborted attempts at making my dream hotrod I am gonna give it another go. I have a shop, tools, a pretty much bone stock '54 chevy 3600 (3/4 ton) farm truck and an S-10 donor (longbed, std cab). Instead of a dream rod this will be more of an insult, give me patina or give me hell. A project for fun after a hard day at the easel.
I am very interested in the sowhat trucks and the postings involving the discoveries and tips that I have read on this site, thanks for the inspiration, here I go again, with a little help from my friends.
