Welcome to the group! It's pretty active here, with tons of great information. Enjoy! OH, and your Merc is decent. Nothing special... HA!! Pretty sure I've had your Merc as my screen saver on my computer and phone at least twice. I love that car. Trade ya a few cases of pbr for it! Rocky
Just added some pictures for the group! Share them if you like! Factory Original everything on this car except for the air suspension, minimal cutting on the suspension, just had to tunnel about 10 inches under the rear seat! car lays frame as well. @ Dragon, thanks for the kind words brotha!
Sweet Merc. Along with '52, '53, '54, '55, '57, '58, '59 - '66, that's one of my favorite year Mercs !
Welcome to the group! I'm not ashamed to admit that I fell in love with your car when I saw the picture of it last year, on the main boards, at the 2011 Hellbilly fest. Used that picture as the desktop on my computer for a long time. One of the best looking Mercs I have ever seen. Wish I had enough coin to take it off your hands.
I'm pretty new to the group too Phil but love your Merc. I'd love for our '55 to lay just like it. So did you have to tunnel for the rear end or the drive shaft?? Got any pics Of the suspension work?
Welcome from Wisconsin, were you at Havasu in Feb., if so, I talked to you for quite a while, the cars a beauty
@ WideWhites, i only had to tunnel for the driveshaft, just about 10 inches. Best thing is that it did not disrupt how the rear seat layed out either. I also chisled off a half inch from the front A arms just to get the front to lay lower as well. it was the easiest bag job we have ever done
