Hi There, I'm a new member from Pella, IA. I have a 1940 LaSalle Model 50 Coupe that is all original with a lot of patina. I bought when I was 15 years old and have owned it 40 years. It looks and runs OK but the flathead V-8 is tired. My plan to is mildly rod it in the traditional style, i.e. rebuild the flathead (dream is edmunds heads and intake), dropped spindles, big and little bias blackwalls on original wheels and that's about it. If anyone in the upper midwset has any ideas for a good engine builder, let me know. Thanks for letting me join. Sporty Bob
