    I live in Clearwater Lake, a small town between Eagle River and Three Lakes, in the northern part of the state. My 49 packard is not a runner yet, it is completely stock for now, it has the straight eight but is "frozen stuck" and without getting into a complete tear down, we can not get it to turn over, looks like one piston is rusted tight. My original plan was to upgrade to a big block olds, we then decided to go with stock straight 8, but since it is pretty stuck and I have all the parts and the block ready to go with the olds, that is my intent now to go back to the original plan, altho I will probably have to win the lottery first to get the old packard in running order, we are trying to do what we can at a pace I can afford... ;)
