Been checking this site out and it is great. Been reading alot of threads. I have a 59 chevy big window 3100 apache stepside that is a barn find. I have had it for about 4 or 5 years. Got it running when I got it years ago and it has been setting under my carport for the last couple years and not driven. About a month ago decided its time to drive it. New fuel pump, upgrade front wheel bearings and rebuilt the drum brakes. Its ready to roll. Can't beat the feeling of driving old american iron.
Welcome from the west coast of Florida. I could not agree with your statement "Can't beat the feeling of driving old American iron" I drive an 80's van because it's ten times better then the newer stuff on the road. My van looks brand new and when someone rides with me and asks me some stupid question about does it have air bags I show them the big chrome front and rear bumpers and I tell them that's my air bag. Hope you enjoy the HAMB and all it has to offer. Keep on trucking. Jimbo
