Whaddya say guys, I'm an old geezer - just turned 66. After supporting 4 solicitors & 2 ex wives for 20+ years I finally put enough money aside to indulge myself in a hobby that I've denied myself for too long. Hotted up a 1953 FX holden sedan in the early 60's 'stove hot' lowered too powerful for the street, but great to drag off the local identities. Some years later I got a 39 ford fordor deluxe, but kept it stock,no dings no rust 1 owner - wouldn't i love it now! While i started saving to hot 'er up bit, the missus was backdooring me. i lost the car in the property settlement - but got custody of my 2 sons - more important than wheels I can assure ya. Any way to get back to my opening statement, I'm now playing catch up, but think I left the run a little late! I could write a book here, but don't want brass you off. so I won 't go into long details. I have:a 39 chev 4 dr master deluxe, 75% complete, stock standard - just as i bought 3 years ago! plans to mildly rod it.I really wanted a driver though, and went looking, saw this 74 firebird - yeah I know what your saying! It stuck from all the other cars on the lot & said I'm yours and I bought it. I've tidied it up cut out usual rust, resprayed in 2 pak, now I'm about to sell - lousy time to do it though! Bought a 55 cussy off another old geezer this time last year, nice & straight, no rust, still has Y block which I might tinker with, lower, pan the rear chrome reversed rims, proper extractors etc. I also have a 34 buick chassis and panels which a mate had cut down from a 4 dr to turn into a 2 dr - when he got leukemia in the jaw. he was bust, I was flush, so I traded him 2k for it. then found out it had mk6 jag rear end, mitsi L300 front end and a bare 308 to go with it. I thought I'd gone to hot rod heaven! but no, those greedy SOB's in wall st had to do their thing, so it has slowed me down somewhat, and yeah i still work, so i can't put the time in that i'd like. I have a few pics to show if i new how to get 'em in here, maybe one of you old hands can let me know. RodL
