Yesterday, I joined the ranks. I purchased a 26 T from Clark Bates in Abbottstown PA. Total traditional T. Never had a real hotrod before. I now know what I have been missing. I am looking forward to showing it off and driving the wheels off it. The only help I need is how to make an old guy look cool behind the wheel.
can't get the grin off my face. It is actually starting to hurt from all the smiling. High price to pay but I guess it is worth it
Cool! I knew the car sold at the show. Nice to see that the car is in the Baltimore area. If you need a chance to show it off there's no need to wait... Jalopyrama is November 3, 2007 in Glen Burnie. Come on down!
Welcome to the HAMB and nice ride. Clark builds some cool stuff. I think i saw you going for the test run at the Greaseball. I had the black '47 Ford Sedan that was sitting at the entrance. I just sold her though. It's being picked up today. I live in Nottingham right around the corner from ya so i'll prolly see you runnin' around with the big smile on your face.
Thanks for the welcome ! I will be at the Glen Burnie show. Clark asked that I take it there. I don't know anything about the show but I am sure I will hear about it this weekend. Still can't get rid of this grin !!!
Sweet Car! For those of us that haven't seen it before, tell us about it...motor, trans and rear. North of the Beltway.
Welcome aboard. Great car. Also glad to see it stay in the area. Saw it at Greaseball. You'll have a good time at Jalopyrama. Great event for a worthy cause................"Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear"
Hey everyone, thanks for all the welcomes. When I put the baby to bed Sunday evening, she is showing about 250 more miles that it showed on Friday evening. My neighbors love the looks and hate the exhaust..that means it is really cool. I went to the cruise spot near me on Saturday, had a great time. The car draws looks everywhere it goes. Clark really does do a great job getting the stance correct. to the guy who asked about the motor, Clark says 350 block, double hump 327 heads, 2 stombergs, straight pipes with some baffels (? sounds like none...great sound)TH350 trans, 9"Ford rear. I got it all set up for the Nov show in Glen Burnie and the Timonium show in Dec. Loving life in this hot rod !!
Hi John, It was great meeting you, and talking with you on Saturday. I appreciate your moral support, when we needed all we could get. Everything worked out with our car problem, and we were truly blessed to find so many helpful folks willing to bail us out of our mess. That wasn't a very fun way to spend our time at the last show of the season, but it certainly was a memorable adventure, we won't soon forget. We both love your T and, while typing this, I just realized how much I'd love to ride in it sometime. Your Grandkids sure seem to like it. They're probably thinking what a kool Grandpa they have! I'll be posting some more pics of it, when I get my memory card back from the camera guru. I lost 184 pics somehow, but he's sure he can recover them. Hope to see you at a bunch of shows come spring...........Woody
Hi John, Just adding my 2 cents.... Glad to have made your aquaintance...Hope to see you again and chat longer.....Want to know lots more..... Take Care....Never stop smiling...makes folks wonder why..... Sandy
