Hey all: My name is Doug, and I have always been a car guy but only after I retired did I have the time and a few extra bucks to buy and work on an old car for fun. My first street rod, which I bought pretty much completed, was a 1949 Chevy Styleline Deluxe with a 292 GMC truck engine bored to 301, Crane cam, Offy manifold, headers and Edlebrock 4 barrel. It was a fun car, but it had too many thousand dollars of paint and body work, and I was afraid to leave it anywhere. It spent most of its time under a cover in the garage. I realized I wanted a car I could actually drive and not worry about scratches. So Last summer I started looking on ebay for another project. I found a 1931 Ford Model A Town Sedan Slant Window 4 door Street Rod . I have spent the last year off and on working on it, making it more dependable. There are many gaps in my knowledge, and I hope I can find some help on this board. ----doug----

Hey, shooter 54: I live in Oregon City, I was outside an hour ago watching the lightning! I am still learning my way around the board. I notice some posts have pics in with the text, but I can't find instructions on how to do this.
