Hearing more and more references to the H.A.M.B. on the net. And, every once in a while, visiting to read your posts. I finally decided to register so I can participate. My handle should explain a lot - I'm an old wrench. Started in the early sixties when a school boy that loved cars rolled in to a new Texaco and asked to clean parts and sweep floors in return for the supreme "knowledge" - how to repair cars! Worked for 38 years repairing vehicles of all types and helping others tp build their rides. Worked 8 years teaching auto repair at a private school and for diagnostic equipment manufacturers. Worked for Check Chart and wrote the last issue of ASE L1 prep book and contributed to their college level auto repair text books. Now working for an auto repair information provider as an editor. Still turning wrenches at home for family and friends. - much more fun when it's not needed for $ pay.
