Found this site while rummaging around the internet looking for information to help overhaul a Chev 292 in the '64 Chev C-50 grain truck I have spent way too much on----finally got time to do it myself---didn't realize the age restrictions on posts so I'll restrict my DA questions to the 292----hopefully won't waste anyone's time and will stay with the FAQ section---to tell the truth I never realized what a cool engine a 292 straight six is----from what I have read on HAMB a lot of people are missing out on these old sixes including me---was thinking about replacing the 292 with SB Chev----ain't going to happen ---the good news is there are tons of them around where I live----you can buy a whole C-50/C-60 that runs here for $500/$1000 or less at never ending farm auctions---------the hoists and beds are worth $750----also inundated with '50's Chev PU's sitting all over the country---saw two 5 windows the other day close to my place sitting abandoned---hey thanks for opening my eyes---BTW I'm a 1938 model myself---does that qualify as pre 1964????----thanks----come pheasant hunting with "Bird Camp" next season---
