Not sure exactly what year. My Dad and I just picked it up from a relatives land. Any one know what year? The hemi was just laying around so we picked it up too.

Though in my experience, I know You didn't just "pick it up"...Those things weigh a TON. I suspect You said the f word more than once.

    Pottymouth.

"Hemmay" You gotta gump it up. C.C. agrees.

My dad thinks it's a 30. It has ribbed fenders, and it does have wire wheels.

  11. Dodge Victory 6's were built from 1928 into 1929- only a year and a half. If you have the tag, that will help and the cowl area will give a hint as to the age (the hood length was changed mid-year, but I can't remember which is early/late).
They are a bit of a study on the unibody idea; the frame is made of thinner gauge steel and the Budd All-Steel body slips over it to help strengthen the whole. Many didn't survive even simple accidents because of the thin frame metal. Looks like a 4 door made into a 2 door. Parts are a bit hard to come by because of how few were made and how few survived. My dad has some parts- let me know what you need and I'll see if he has them.

  12. The Dodge Club guys who own Victory's will be interested in the wire wheels/hub/etc- just DON'T tell them that it's now a hot rod...

  13. Oh, 1928 Victory's did have wire wheels- my dad's '28 came with them as factory original- just hard to find.

Thanks for the info. It is a factory 2 door. I'll get some better pics this week. The camera died, so these were taken with my phone.

Crazy right! My relatives are farmers, they don't care about that old stuff. We had to stop them from crushing and burying all the stuff they had. So far we got a 52 Sude pick up, a 48 Stude pick up, a 68 Caprice classic with a 396, 400 trans ,10 bolt rear end, and discs from the factory. Still a couple more to come.

I think Mac gets the prize, Victorys were the only DBs I know of with the V shape under the radiator emblem. Is there a distinct relief at the top of the door beltline, it would have been painted a differant color from the factory? The gauge cluster indicates Victory too. The hood sides would be another clue, long verticle louvers. The wire wheels are kind of unique if they are good. My '29 DA has differant wire wheels then these. Yea, don't tell the DBC you are rodding it, would not be good. The baby hemi will be purrfect!

Can anyone give me some suggetions on what to do with the frame. Should I just scrap this thing or do I have to use it?

I would change the front end o transverse leaf, and hang a different ear end in the paralell's out back...presto-frame-o. after that, I know for a fact that You know what to do next. crossmembes, rebuild the hemmaaay, followed by burnouts. The only reason I would change to ransverse up front is for ease of finding parts.

The frame itself is a pretty girl. and that body happens to bolt right on to it.:D
