Had a 1966 F100 come in that had a sbc installed that looked factory, very sanitary and rams horn center dumps were perfectly placed. It also has a throttle cable set up that must be offered by some supplier but which I have never seen before. It has two teflon or similar type material blocks, one at the firewall and one on the intake for a naked cable to run through. The front of the block on the firewall is beveled and the rear of the one on the intake is the same so the cable can exit and enter at an angle without binding. The unit on the intake can be adjusted vertically and horizontally so the throttle cable and the trans TV cable are in alignment. Anyone seen one of these? I wonder how long one would last till the cable started to saw a groove in the blocks?

Blocks look like Nylamid to me, there are several kinds of nylamid and some are "self lubricated" they will last a lot and are stronger than one can imagine. It is said to be the steel of plastics, very light weight and very machinable. You can buy it at your steel supply. Hope this helps.
