They were stainless not chrome. You see them at every swap meet I go to around here and there always on ebay. They are pretty plentiful.

  3. Are you looking for a original radiator or one for a hot rod?

Ether way Walker makes both and the quality is exceptional. HRP

I believe they do repop them in stainless, too. I will say that chrome shells look like knock-offs. I would buy a good used one before putting a chrome shell on.

This question would probably get better answers over at the Ford Barn.

Hey at least you get an 'A' for effort, and if he needed a radiator you'd be spot on.

  8. Macs offers a stainless 1930 shell but they are pricey. $518 bucks is nuts and they are made off shore.

There has got to be a lot of originals shells still around. HRP

I guess my first question would be, are you looking for a new shell or an original shell? Despite what the NOS guys will tell you, I don't think I've ever seen a new original.

With all the model a's driving around with 32 shells you should be able to find one fairly easily, I bought one here on the hamb.

  11. Also check Fordbarn, ebay & the AACA forum.

The best quality is going to be a Henry original and really good ones are out there. Actually I think a good original would be easier on the budget than what the supply houses sell. You just need to look around.
