New P.O.S. to clutter my shop.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 4t64rd, Feb 19, 2004.

  1. Early F-1, not sure of year, complete down (up?) to air cleaner 8Ba, ran when parked (we'll see). if the engine runs, a big head start for the supersecret tub. [IMG]

I'll bet you took 4 cherry fenders off that thing and sent them to me for my F1 project. RIGHT? What a pal!!!!

    Its either a 1948 or a 1949.

Look at all that rust in the doors. If those are indicative of the entire truck (probably the reason you dont have any front fenders cause they rust out real bad), your gonna have rust hell at the front cab mounts!

  4. Passenger side front cab mount is rusted on the outside, drivers side is perfect in and out. The door isn't as bad as it looks, it's a long hole but the corners are fine and the inner panel only has 2 small holes. The drivers side is better. gas tank is Swissed.

A friend and I are splitting it up, he wants the body and frame, he has a Nova clip and a lincoln disk brake rear, (he's "different")

I want the driveline and front end (steering box, column, brakes, spindles, front shock mounts, etc).

Does anybody know what trannys and rear end ratios were available for F-1's? where to look? It has the toploader-style shifter, not the side shift.
